You can set up, add and manage different tax rates. This feature is designed to provide greater flexibility in handling taxes for quotes and jobs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with various tax requirements.
- Custom Tax Names and Rates: Set up different tax names and rates to suit your business needs.
- Multiple Tax Rates: Apply multiple tax rates to a single quote or job for complex tax situations.
- Individual Property Tax Settings: Assign specific tax rates to individual jobs, quotes, or invoices.
Follow these steps to add or edit tax rates in the House of Yards app:
1) Accessing Tax Settings:- Log in to your dashboard.
- Go to Settings > Company > Tax Rates.
- Click the + New button.
- Enter the tax name (e.g., your state name tax) and the tax rate in percentage.
- Add Comments if needed.
- Click the New button to add additional tax names.
- Click Save Settings to save the new tax rate
3) Applying Tax Rates to Quotes and Jobs:
- When creating a new job or quote, navigate to the pricing information section.
- Click the Tax Rates drop-down menu.
- Select the applicable tax names for the job or quote.
- The total tax rate will be the sum of the individual tax rates you've selected.
Managing Tax Rates
- Edit Existing Tax Rates: Access the Tax Rates section under Settings > Company to modify or delete existing tax rates as needed. This new feature is designed to streamline your workflow, making it easier to manage taxes accurately across different jobs and properties.
